OCM Lead & OCM Consultant

Client: Utilities client via large management and technology consulting firm

Location: Downtown Portland, Oregon (local resources only, will accept resources that relocate on their dime)

Duration: Lead: 2/24/19 through mid-February 2020, Consultant: 3/10/19 through February 2020

Rate: Lead: $90/hour, Consultant: $75/hour

Type: 1099 or Corp-to-Corp only, no W2s, no benefits


Client needs two organizational change management (OCM) resources: 1 OCM lead with 7+ years of experience leading OCM efforts and 1 OCM consultant with 5+ years of experience executing OCM activities.

The success of this project depends on leadership engagement and behavioral changes among client’s diverse employee population, so change management expertise, passion, creativity and communication skills are needed. Resource will:

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and a project team made up of the Company's employees and third-party implementation partner

  • As part of the change management team, develop and execute a holistic, integrated change strategy and customized tactics

  • Be responsible for partnering with Corporate Communications to develop a cohesive messaging platform and program communications plan, training plan, adoption metrics and change roadmap

  • Perform readiness assessments and develop stabilization plans, all while supporting the employee experience.

Skills Required

  • Lead role must have 7+ years of experience leading and consultant role must have 5+ years executing full lifecycle organizational change management skills, including audience and impact assessment, engagement strategy and execution, and training strategy and execution

  • 5-7+ years of experience:

    • Process improvement experience

    • Change management experience on a large system implementation

    • Communications planning, development, and execution

    • Stakeholder analysis, assessment, and engagement

    • Readiness assessment and adoption measurement

    • Training planning, development, and execution

    • Stabilization planning and execution related to a large system implementation

    • Previous successful Workday implementation experience is preferred

    • Utilities experience preferred
